Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using SpareDisplay ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

2. License Grant

SpareDisplay grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Software in accordance with your subscription plan. The Starter plan is free for personal use. Paid plans (Pro, Team, Enterprise, Signage) require an active subscription.

3. Account & Access

• You must provide accurate account information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials
• One license key may be activated on the number of devices permitted by your plan
• Sharing license keys outside your organization is prohibited

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
• Use the Software for unlawful surveillance or unauthorized access to systems
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the Software
• Circumvent license enforcement or device activation limits
• Use the Software to transmit malware or conduct denial-of-service attacks

5. Subscriptions & Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period. Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase for annual plans if you have not exceeded 50 device activations. No refund is offered for monthly plans.

6. Data & Privacy

Your use of SpareDisplay is also governed by our Privacy Policy. SpareDisplay does not capture, store, or transmit screen content, keystrokes, or clipboard data to our servers. Display streaming occurs directly between your devices.

7. Availability & Support

SpareDisplay is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Support is provided based on your plan tier (community for Starter, priority email for Pro, SLA-backed for Team/Enterprise).

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpareDisplay and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Software. Total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the Software in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your license keys are deactivated and your data is handled per the Privacy Policy.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or the website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
