USB today, WiFi next — understand your options.
USB
USB is the default connection method. It offers the lowest latency and most reliable transport.
The Mac host runs a local TCP server. ADB reverse forwarding makes it available to the Android client.
WiFi
WiFi support is rolling out with mDNS discovery for automatic connection on the same network.
Great for tablet setups, standing desks, and anywhere a cable is inconvenient.
Which should I use?
- USB — lowest latency, most reliable, no network needed.
- WiFi — wireless convenience, great for tablets and mobile setups.
- Enterprise — choose per-deployment based on network policy.
